The Farm is located in the middle of Scard valley approximately 3km North of the village of Colby. We are adjacent to Scard Reservoirs built in the early 1900's. Now disused they were constructed to supply water to the village of Colby and growing town of Port Erin. Now managed by ourselves under a lease agreement we have planted over 350 trees in an effort to enhance the area and provide more habitat for the wildlife found within the valley.
You can see from the hills adjacent to our farm why our Tartan adopted the colours it has. Blue for the sky, purple for the heather, yellow for the gorse, green for the hills and white for the crofts.
Our lane is just under 1 mile long, set back from Ballakillowey Road we enjoy uninterrupted views on the sea and our rolling hills. The Farm is set in 5 acres of land with an additional 5 acres leased from the Government. Our furry / feathered family includes Loaghtan sheep, Pygmy goats, Huskie dogs, Falcons, Hawks, ducks, chickens, a cat and several thousand Honey Bees. Tina and I love our animals and running the small holding gives us real pleasure. Bee and Blossom Farm's seclusion and wildlife is therapeutic. We get regular visits from unusual birds, bats and lizards. We feel truly blessed and enjoy sharing our home with the Islands visitors.
